what weight fork oil???

hows things im trying to figure out the best fork oil to use, my instinct says 10w but i've read a lot on this forum saying 5w!!!

anyone able to shed some light on this please.
im 205pounds if that helps????

All depends on how you like your bike set up, I put 5w in mine and I love the way it feels and reacts so quickly to steering input, bumps etc...

14 stone Hmm! I reckon you may be best to stick with 10w mate.

Unless you're doing it yourself then you can experiment and see what the 5w feels like, if it's not to your liking just change it for 10w. :thumbup

ill defo be doing it myself, my gut says 10w but i've heard a lot of talk about 5w, its for showa forks btw!!

have the seals and oil there just trying to figure weather to go with what i reckon or what i've seen mentioned!!!!!

I would go with 5, i tried 7.5 and it was too much damping, i went back to 5 and have stuck with it, 10 is way to heavy
 
I have 10w in my race bike which feels very firm, but am running 5w in my RSV Mille R road bike.:biggrin
There is a big difference between road and track.
If you also want a good engine oil try the Maxima Synblend, you won't believe how smooth it makes your gear box and gear changes!:thumbup
