hi all can anyone tell me what they think about tyre size my rsv is on 190's it was when i bought it but ive seen others with 180's which handles better.

190/50 will not tip in as fast as a 180/55 but its about personal choice , if you like a quick turning bike the you can flip from side to side very quickly then go for the 180/55.
Alternatively you could fit a 190/55 (harder to find) so you get the pose value wide tyre with the fast turn in.

If ya wanna pose 190, if ya wanna ride 180:thumbup

It's true, there are a lot of threads but I can emphasise with how much this question pained me.

I found a 180 Dunlop too narrow- kept running off the edge at extreme lean.

I have, however, been assured a 180 Metzeler/Pirelli will be fine due to different shape.

As I like Dunlop GP Racers my next tyre will be a 190/55, as Kiwi rightly says the higher side wall of the 190/55 over a 190/50 will give a more 'rounded' tyre so a sweeter turn in.
