Gen1's avoided the electrical gremlins, but for your money you are into Gen2 territory.


The Rotax engines are bomb proof, so you should get 50+ really easy, with the usual regular oil changes.


Re. Bikes.

Interesting, like you I loved my SV650 (SK1), especially the engine and handling, but wanted more power. Rode a VFR800 - great all rounder, tourer, but not enough low down grunt and doesn't pull like a stream train.  Tuono is definitely the way to go if you want that and an upright riding position...
