He's usually pretty busy and just pops on the forums now and again. leave him a PM on there and he will get back to you. He doesn't generally keep a stock though, they are made to order.

Have you asked Griff if he has any?

Well as far I can say it runs smoother and seems to pull for alot longer. I am having it put on the rolling road on monday so I will post the results for you then.
When the new air box was fitted all that seems to happen is the filter is moved over the throttle bodys and the underside of the tank is used as the air box lid.
As for layout its just the same as the standarded air box but larger volume. You still get the ram air.

Must be a Rene style (hooked) one, if the filter is over the intakes. You can seal around the base plate using a bit of door seal from a car (scrapyard) if you want to maintain the plenum effect and ram air etc. Really needs the pre 2000 intake boot as well to flow the most air if you go down this route.

How would it seal if theirs no airbox bottom ? Put the seal stuff around the edges of the Rene plate ?

Yes - not something I have done, but I was told that's how you can do it. If you put car door sealing rubber strip around the edges of the plates it's supposed to seal up against the tank the same way the Evo does. Only any good on a Gen 1 if you retain the intake boot though.

To much messing about for negligable power gains/effect. Its just about the roar innit :)

Had the hooked one from aprilia performance. Not sure about the door rubber to seal it as it sits high in the tank.
Dont think the door seal would make much difference.

Oh and it sound bloody ace :)
