Hello everyone :cheers I'm new to the forum and to the twin world lol. Sold my yamaha r6 and got myself Tuono. What can I say, it's mad mad bike lol and already noticed some sort of leak on right hand side, on engine cover, not sure if it oil or some other liquid :dunno will have to check today as only noticed yesterday late in the evening after coming back from a ride. My bike totally standard(as far as I know) only had one previous owner and 10k miles on the clocks. So hopefully nothing serious with the bike and I can start riding bike on the back wheel for most of the time :lol

welcome on board mate, check the hose clips and change to ss jubilees as the OEM ones are crap

Could be coolant too full and some blowing out overflow. As above check hoses then go out and wring its neck, thats what I do when its been bad, show it who's boss!

Lol will do :) checked it and yes, it's over filled and blowing water out through that cap. Took rubber out from the cap turned it around and see if it will be better if not then will drain a bit of water out.

welcome.
coolant... pfft. that leak would be pre-cum, common for most new tuono owners. flip yer junk over to the other side of the tank and see if that makes a difference

btw, congrats
:cheers

nae sure aboot yer theory o the coolant bein too full T min......if yiv checked the level in the expansion tank an its at the right level then strange its "blowing water"

If the levels good then its mair likely a shitey hose clip.

If its leaking right hand side maist likely the one on the main hose tae water pump.....a common prob

An as Brooksy says its a good mod tae swap awe the clips oot for proper jubilee type as they will definitely leak at some point. Thirs a " how to" thread on here somewhere ah did yonks ago if ye hae a wee search.

righty o....tae help the fuds who need thir hands held tae cross the road and cannae be ersed searchin heres the original link tae the hose clips thread.

Note tae mind and get the thinner width clips as they look tidier and nae the same as ah got ( they dae work fine though)
