What rear brake?

Okay, Ive had enough of not having rear brake and took a look. What I found is the caliper block is got a groove dug in from the inside brake pad. The pad holder pin also had a groove in it. This didnt allow the pad to travel onto the brake disc essentially giving me a one sided brake. After filing the grooves out of caliper, resurfacing the pin and bleeding the brake it works as intended. These grooves were deep enough to actually keep the pad from mating with the disc. I would suggest that ya'll take a look at yours if it seems like ****. I see no reason why this happened. Certainly couldnt have been engineered this way. I would post pics but am unable as my lappy took a ****. If you have them it'll be obvious once you take a look.

Well Assuming you have a new T. its down to where the rear brake resivour is located.

Not sure is this is problem included the new Ts

Yes, I should note that this is in addition to the placement of the rear res. I have a 2003 T. Poor design? I have found the best way to bleed this system is by pushing fluid from caliper up to res BTW Its a **** system no matter how you look at it. I wont get rid of my T because of it. Was just trying to lend a hand to those that may have overlooked another trouble area.

iam with blackwolf - i have just changed my footrests & put some aprilia performance rearsets on :thumbup not only do they look great but they move the master cylinder from down by the exhaust (very hot) to the more traditional place - behind the rearset - i now have a fully working back brake :yes
