What might be causing this???

Hi guys,

When I turn the key to the on position the little green "Max" led dose not light up. The fuel light comes on straight away even though there is almost a full tank. The rev clock dose not jump to 6,000 and back, the temp reading says cold even when I know that the bike is warmed up. I kept the bike running for 15mins and its still reading cold. The rev needle stays at the lowest position, where it would be when the bike is turned off, when I rev the bike the rev needle dose'nt move.

Any ideas whats causing this?

Have you checked that the multi plug connector on the back of the instrument cluster is correctly fitted?

If yes then check to see if any terminals are corroded/green looking, it may be just a poor connection.

I take it that you have checked for blown fuses? All of them must be OK otherwise with the way these bikes are wired you get some strange symptoms.
