What is it with aprilia?

Hi all. Just had a fantastic weekend in plymouth with 6 other guys. My 2000 rsv never missed a beat and ran like a dream. However i went for a short run after work tonight and the fookin speedo stoped working. First it started to display any number it fancied and ended up showing 0 miles per hour. Any ideas guys? Cheers, why do they give and then take away
