I thought " about 10 mins ago" It would be great to get a want list on all the How tos.

Ill go first

Bleeding the Clutch using a Syringe System.

AMB67 has done loads of excellent writeups so hoperfully he will continue :thumbup

great idea. post up what you want to see, and maybe that will motivate someone to document it for us all to enjoy! :cheers

I can rewrite that fuel tank one so that it's a bit more readable.

That's if it's required!!

i want to see osama bin laden so we can shoot the c''#t:thumbup

Maybe we ought to have definitive texts on best starting proceedure, uprated battery and starter relay replacement and all the other stuff that new members ask. Or is telling them all part of the fun?

Corner faster, wheelie further ! ! !.....:biggrin

Seriously.....a how to on changin the starter solenoid to the yam one would be help for me.

.................:thumbup

Andi, the change over from the Aprilia solenoid to the Yamaha one is true plug and play. . Remove the riders seat. All you need do is locate the solenoid to the rear of the battery tray, then disconnect the battery terminal leads. Lift the solenoid off of its mounting (the solenoids have a rubber casing around them). Disconnect one wire at a time and connect to the new solenoid in the same position as removed from. Push the rubber housing of the new solenoid back onto it's mounting, reconnect the battery terminal leads, and hey presto, one far more reliable solenoid :thumbup

Cat........you the man!!

Cheers.........:thumbup

I will be (shortly) with the majority of assistance from Pete, mostly doing the following things to my bike, which can be documented and photographed, and annotated, if required:

Fitting a PCIII
Removing standard headers and full exhaust system, and refitting Renegade 2-1-2 system (inc. Oil change - as I believe the Oil Cooler has to come off.)
Changing a chip in the ECU
Swapping rearsets (which is really rather easier)
Possibly swapping a shock absorber over.
Fitting bigger Airboot and Renegade Airbox.

Pete also has a simple mod for making both headlights come on, whilst on dipped, which is a hell of a lot easier than the loom-splicing effort on the AF1 forum, which I may also be tempted to do.

Perhaps we should keep this thread to a non spam **** thread??

:thumbup Would be great ,very interested in that.:biggrin

1)Bleeding the rear brake with a Syringe while the caliper is in place (if possible)
2)Changing the LCD/Speedo colors
3)Changing the throttle grip to an ATV/Thumb throttle switch ( don't ask me why!)
4)Making the trunk room bigger and/or Relocating the California Charcoal Canister under the motor(boom Boom) lol
5)Installing manual headlamp/Park switch for the cold/showoff days( i think I know how to do this)
6)TPS calibration

I will take pictures of the TPS, Barnett clutch and I might do the headlamp mod and the room in the trunk. Anyway if someone wants to use the pics for instruction let me know.

All "how to do's" are a great idea, however easy some of these jobs may seem to some folk, there are many more owners who are not as technically minded who will find them invaluable :thumbup

ok im a newbie and here are a few things i've asked for:

reseting the "service" indicator
Changing from Fahrenheit to Celcius on the dash
(in fact, what about a general Dash board "how to"?)

finding the service manual (maybe just a link to the page on the aprilia site?)

I'm sure there are others - thing REALLY simple and you will probably answer all my questions! I'm a deskjockie and hardly know what a spanner looks like :)
