mmmmmmmm i agree they are all the same with a slight twist here, a chop there, trim in here, more plastic, lighter, faster, lighter,faster,lighter,faster, lighter... bla bla bla..

The best R1 ever IMHO was the 2004/5 model year introducing the underseat eaxhausts for the first time. I fell in love with it and had it painted in my hero Valentino Rossi replica Gauloises colours.

I don't like the looks of it. Although I never take any notice of the OEM exhaust, first thing to go on all my bikes - and most others. I'm sure there will be nice aftermarket cans available for it soon enough.
The engine interests me. The press keep calling it a "big bang" but it's not. It's got close firing but not close enough to be called a big bang. It sounds great in the promo video I can't wait to hear one in the flesh :drool
