What can I expect from a tank of fuel

Hi all,

My first post and my first afternoon with Tuii. just picked up my Tuono 1000 r (2010) this afternoon, so far so pleased! I popped £10 in the tank after realising it has no fuel gauge. I am used to tripping it as per my VFR750 but a quick idea of what I can generally expect on the trip till the light comes on would be great just to avoid any potential issues.

thanks in advance.

Many threads on fuel, depends how hard you ride it.
From a full tank I would get 100 or so before the light comes on. Did 35 after that and got 17 litres in.
Riding like a granny, 120 to the light, like Rossi 80.

that's great, will keep it in mind tomorrow. I am going to take it out for a decent run and will refuel and reset.

Less money in your wallet but a stupid grin from ear to ear on ya face!

On a more serious note what Grin Factor says is pretty much spot on>
Cheers and Welcome enjoy the "T"

What can I get from a tank of fuel?

The main thing you'll get is massive grin factor! In fact some 80+ miles of it! ;). Not to mention the wheelies and storming acceleration:thumbup. :lol

Seriously, search for "Gen II fuel consumption".

As brooksy says there:
>>the gen 2 is an 18L tank split 15L and 3L reserve or 3.96 gallons split 3.3gallons and 0.66 gallon reserve.

So, just under 3/4 of a gallon when fuel light comes on, so best to stop at next garage when that occurs.

(Gen 1's also have 18l tanks, but fuel light comes on with 1 gallon to go, so easier to work out remaining mileage as current mileage ÷3).

PS: Welcome to the forum fella.

As above it all depends on how wide you want the grin on your face to be, enjoy it and you'll be on first name terms with every garage manager in an 80 mile radius but you will be oh soooo happy.

My gen 2 comes on around 80mls but can then only get 13,1/2 ltr in after doing another 20mls, so mine does come on early "have done 120mls " but I wouldn't push it to this again or I would end up pushing it . I find my Arsenal needs a rest around a 100mls too. Light has come on at under 70mls , depends how it's ridden.
