Hi can anyone tell me what make and dot rating fluid i should use to replace brake and clutch fluid on my mk 1 shape 54 plate tuono please

Wish I could say Dot3, Dot4 or Dot5 and whit variant of, but ma napper's fried wae that stuff.

Am sure you'll get the info yer after, but a better intro would've been nice.

There are dudes in the states that use a us spec fluid and it seems to work well, particularly with the back brake.

You could try a search on the AF1 forum.

Sorry Aldo, perhaps that was a bit rude not to introduce myself. Pleased to meet you. I have actually joined this forum before and introduced myself then but i had forgotten my username password and have just rejoined. I am in the uk and new to this forum so hello everyone. I have purchased a 54 plate Tuono mk1 shape. I am looking to change chain and sprockets and want a good one that will last and also wanted to bleed brake and clutch with new fluid and was hoping for some recommendations PLEASE.

I think there's specific web sites which sell this stuff. Just do a search on chain and sprockets

hello miller !
i use dot 5.1 in them as it handles the heat better
plus dont go for the cheapest chain and sprockets you usualy get what you pay for (but there are some good deals on ebay at moment)
did are probably the best regina are good etc

Hi Bay 1472 i have been looking for weeks trust me but i am unsure what to get

Hi charley tuono thanks for the info, i wasnt going to buy cheap. I have been looking for ages but was unsure as to what make pitch sprockets etc i was thinking maybe the srs renthal chain and sprocket kit but wanted to change the gearing slightly also.

Trust yer getting there mucker, don't be a stranger. :thumbup

Hi Dynamo, really appreciate the info. I want to increase acceleration slightly and make it wheelie easier but didnt really want it to alter the speedo. Is this possible

Speedo is read from the disc bolts on the rear brake, so it doesn't matter whit gearing you use.

Select forum actions, then on the left you have a selection of options, choose edit avatar and yer sorted mucker.

Forum actions is on the tool bar under FORUM/WHAT'S NEW?

Hope that helps.
