The Frozen ******* Wasteland!
Aulder members of the Zone will remember that my poor lassie went gravel surfing a while back. I rode her as is with the summer. Now that the Cdn dollar is at a par with the USD, I'm ordering some goodies. Pazzos, some bar end mirrors, maybe some turn signal bar ends, thinking of some CF (the front fender got pooched), some pipes, and p'raps an ECU. I need to determine why the battery ain't staying charged. Paint. Do I stick with the original scheme when I paint over the gravel chips? I'm starting to think red and black gloss a la RSV4 Factory instead of original matte black. Late night pondering so forgive the stream of consciousness presentation.

What are the rest of you lot planning for the winter sleep.

6k service, wheels powder coated, tyres, paint freshened up and a couple of chips sorted out, gonna mess with me seat. I might clean it too.

This winter I will be mostly butchering exhaust cans

Might also see if I can get the rear brake to work

May order a new can. No chips on mine to get sorted.
Was wondering whether to powder coat the wheels but they're in immaculate condition anyway so whats the point in powder coating?? Anyone

I've got an exhaust I'd quite like to core but don't have the tools or know how to do it so might have to work on that one.

nob is yer man on coring mate...he posted a great tutorial on the "other" tuono zone !
any questions u have though im sure he will help u along !

Thinking about wheel & frame colours, might go black, or get the wheels to match the frame, but will probably wind up leaving them alone.
Liz's T has an oil leak - I think a badly fitted filter from last service, needs to be sorted.
New stand on Liz's
Possible rearsets on Liz's

Powder coating the wheels because they are discoloured and a ******* to clean as they are. Just bought some new cans btw.

Booked in for power commander to be fitted and mapped. Having nose cone painted. looking for one of those air box mods. fancy some rear sets too but not too sure. Oh got some wavy discs on order too. £££££££££££££££££££££££££

If cored will they pass mot

Depends on what mood your mot chap is in. Most take them off and put standard ones on for it though. I'll probably flog these, I just spotted them and put a cheeky bid in and won.

ah wull be ridin it an thin weepin at a the orrible roosty bolts. Might jist take me mate Bri up oan his offer o his auld mingin m reg TDM wi missin back brake n leaking fork seals fur this winter.

Quel surprise...

And how the **** do you manage to find all these deals? I would love a set of cored dark cans and have been looking for them or preferably the Ti cans, but cannae seem to find any at a decent price. Maybe I'll have to get "Fleabay for Dummies".

Told you, find out how much the postage is and I'll do you some.

I've half a mind to get the swinging arm powder coated to match the frame, and may get the wheels done too coz like Nob says they're a ******* to clean and keep clean. May get the Puig screen sprayed to match the original too. 6K service due very soon, but that'll probably have to wait until the spring.

Then again it may all have to go on the back burner, coz I fancy a cheap trailie if I can find one for the right money.

And I fancy a new lid...need a lottery win I think!

I've done pretty much what I want to do to mine in the 3 months I've had it (cans, map 2, Ohlins rear shock, sidestand, CRG levers, Aprilia higher screen, Italian air force stickers........). Quite fancy some decent rearsets for it, and a a "comfort" pillion seat so on the rare occasions the missus comes out on the back she has summat to hold on to. Thought about getting the wheels power coated but black is just so easy to keep clean.

Err, This winter I'll be mostly riding the thing

Well until any potential snow puts an end to the fun, rather ride the winter than get stuffed into a train with a bunch of miserable London commuters!!!
