Sold the Mille & bought a Tuono, the moding starts
Hey fellow mod Lovers :biggrin

Im trying to decide what performance mods to go for on my 2002 RSV Mille. So far im thinking Airbox, Sprockets & Dr Rossi Chip. But, while reading about 57mm Throttle Bodies i came across some members talking about Mille & Tuono Velocity Stacks?

1/ What are they?
2/ What do they do exactly?
3/ How much do they Cost?
4/ Are they worth doing?
5/ What bhp gains are acheived?

Huge thanks in advance for any help & info given.....

Jamie.

Jamie, Jamie, Jamie,

its too complicated to explain!!

:D just kidding matey - they are the 2 flutes inside the airbox that help the airflow into the engine, the diff between the mille and tuono is length thus altering the airflow (from what I understand the tuono stacks give you a bit more low to mid range grunt but as far as bhp gains I would say negligeable if at all). They don't cost much so worth playing about, have you had a look at Gabro's eprom from the AF1 site?

Deacs :thumbup

The velocity stacks are the black trumpet type things inside your air box, they direct the air into the throttle bodies. The reason for changing to the tuono stacks is that they are longer and bring the power into the midrange, do you have the 57's fitted? The stacks are £23, if you do the air box then they are definitely worth doing.

.
remember to run a decent race can with the above at the very least , good addition to these mods would be a modified collector that flows more like an expensive dual system

It's 2021. How big is the pot now?

And is anybody still around? Like always, I'm late to the game. But I really do enjoy spending time on the crapper reading, analyzing, comparing and contemplating all of your wonderful advice. Thank you.
