I have just fitted some Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa's and a 42 tooth rear supersprox sprocket to my T and I can't believe the difference! It's like riding a completely different bike. The previous owner was running Dunlop qualifiers and 15/40 sprockets and I thought the T was great then. I'm even more blown away with it now with the 15/42 combo:yes.
The acceleration is awesome and the tyres just inspire confidence.
Good days ahead I think:thumbup

tuonotone, thinking of puting a 42t sprocket on mine got the 15t front and 40t back at the mo but dont know if i need to change the chain and both sprockets at the same time or can i just do the rear sprocket, ie will something wear out quicker, as the bike has done 2600 miles with the same chain and sprockets.

Just whap the thing on the rear fella. Aren't the front sprockets steel and the rear could be aluminium so it doesnt rust.

i dont know what they are made of bay, i was told before everything starts to wear together ie chain and sprockets, so they should all be changed together, dont want it to put extra strain on the chain then have it snap on me like other peeps have. but there again if you listen to everyone you dont do nothing so i might just whap it on like you say and take a chance.

With the minimal miles on the current cogs and chain, "whack it on". The rear 42 really perks the gal up! I top out in sixth instead of fifth now...

Have fun!!

I had the first service done on Thursday. Had a 42 rear sprocket fitted .Yes It's gold & matches my wheels, bling whore or wot:biggrin Anyway I found that even though i had Arkas fitted it was still on map 1 :bawling also the airbox restrictor was removed . The ride home was different, the T was a lot smoother & louder :thumbup Also I was given a Dorsoduro 1200 to play with for the day :clap It's Mad as a box of frogs ,I liked it very punchy at low revs ,the seat was a pain though.Three modes for power output Sport Touring or Rain ,ABS, traction control the works, the trip meter shows ave MPG it has a gear indicator, All in All it was a good laugh.

I just fitted the rear sprocket and kept the same chain and front sprocket on mate. I didn't need to change the chain even with the extra teeth on the back, went on no problem.

went to demon tweeks after work baught a renthal 42t sproket £30, fitted it took the bike for a quick spin it was mad before now its just crazy, i gave it the beans in second fook me it nearly looped the loop, coming home up a bit of a hill opend it up just before the brow in 4th gear the wheel was up in the air its never done that before. its going to take a bit of geting used to if it dont spit me off first.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

I did much the same thing coming out of a corner when I did my R. Cracked it open and the front end got so light that she wasn't cornering all that well. Came across one of me fave roads that has a bit of a camber to the centre and easy as pie the front end gently lofted skyward.... Lovely feeling isn't it?

ye i came home with a biger smile than i used to, hope its a nice weekend so i can have a good ride out to get used to it and have even more fun.

I remember that same feeling ****** after I went out on mine for the first time after fitting the 42 tooth sprocket, the smile on my face had never been any bigger!

Ahm jist in the process o fittin 15/42 masel efter mah recent snapped chain disaster....

...Jist waitin for the plastic metal compound tae properly cure off oan the broken casing that smashed when the chain let go before ah refit the new front 15T yin....

ahm awe excited an cannae wait tae see an feel the difference!!

Interestin tae note it was the front that looked mair worn an hooked than the rear which is still pretty servicable lookin, even efter aboot 14K miles o spirited ridin.

Original rear sprockets steel by the way.

let us know what you think of the new set up when you get it sorted rico, i think its fookin great masive smiles.
