burnham on sea
Went for a little spin on the bike yesterday to pay some suppliers etc and popped into Tesco to fill up , no problem until it came to starting her up .... dead battery .. Oh **** etc etc
Tried to bump her on me own but she wasnt having it so had to push her to a nearby bike shop for a quick jump start ( good job it was round the corner )
Point is the battery is only 12 months old , bloody rubbish , one of the cells had gone **** up ...... its ridden at least once a week so it hasnt been laid up or nowt , just bad luck i reckon :banghead

To add to this little thread , if anyone lives down here near me then a guy here has opened up a little shop , got a dyno and has the equipment to do all the Aprilia dealer stuff , nice bloke and makes a good cuppa :thumbup

And fits a good battery .......

Bummer........

I changed mine for a shorai, I think i bought a RSV4 battery initially which is slightly bigger but I broke it when I crashed big.

Thats alot lighter that one .. you know when youve crashed big time when you destroy the battery Dan ....

Mucker, bought ma machine new back in dec 08, ain't every been on a charger.

Fitted with the same 2 yeas ago although the original still started ma machine.

Sayn that a always get the SERIVCE up,,,,,,,,,,,,,,cam sensor.

Don't mean **** but annoyin as fukk.

I have had my T since it was nearly new - 07 model

It still has original battetry - but I do disconnect it over the winter & occasionally put it on the charger if I remember.

TBF - I was thinking about changing it - if only to save the sprag clutch if it starts to fail.

Bit of T-cut and that would buff right out ....... you werent wrong when you said it was a biggie !!!

Yeah it was a biggie, chasing the ZX10 pictured lap after lap but kept getting 30-40m away from me on the straights at Snetterton but on the infield I was all over him, stuffed it in the inside of him and either the front or rear tucked, the rear tyre really needed changing as had a dirty big cold tear on it, was the first race of the year which put a bit of a dampner on the season due to rebuild costs, rebuilt though, better and faster.

Still paying that one off :yes bit of fun though........:thumbup
