Well, I pulled the trigger -

- on a 2015 (here in the States; suspect it's considered a 2014 elsewhere). Bought the last 1000cc version at the dealer; was going to spring for the new 1100 but nearly 3 grand off MSRP on the "old" one sealed the deal.

Love it but since I have to keep rpms down during break-in (using R mode exclusively too), the fun is not what I hope it will be. On this subject I have a question - at what RPM level does the "behave yourself" light come on? I've had it to 6500 PRM a couple of times and 7k at least once, but no light. I know the light works because it flashes on startup. Thanks in advance -

you can set it to any revs u want..go in settings menu..set mine to 11500 cos kept hitting rev limiter but for running in u can set to say 6500 just to let u no ..i did 100 miles and built revs up every 100 miles
cheers bash

Does the rev limiter kick in during break-in?

at 11800 revs yes ..the shift light only advises to change at wotever u set it at

11,800 is rev limit for break in only. Thereafter you can rev it to 22,000 rpm!! :lol. [!!JOKE ALERT!!]

Sorry...know what u mean! 11,800 is Max rev limit all the time. But it pulls like a train from 7k anyway, so you don't need more revs than 11,800 :thumbup

So just set the shift light for 6,500 or so, to remind you to take it easy until run in.
