For those who want to know what the bike really weights in street trim, I have attached a scale test that I did when I found a truck scale in a gas station parking lot. The bike was fully fueled and then walked over to the scale as not to loose the slightest bit of gas. This was done 99.99% stock since I had removed only the license plate bracket at the time. It is for a 2004 RSVr.

Yeah but you have the red Ape... Everyone knows the Silver one is the lightest and fastest! It only weighs 450 loaded with gas.

I actually thought it weighed more. Thanks for the info, of course I cored my exhaust and lost about 10 lbs. in the process. :cheers

I really need to get it on a scale again since corning the exhaust. I think your right about loosing 10 pounds by coring the exhaust. I am not sure how close to actual weight the scale is. All info I could find said they verify the scale does not read less than actual weight. From what I would guess, and from seeing the even 460 pounds, it only reads in 10 pound increments, and would round up to the nearest 10. So, the bike weights between 451 to 460. For those that have the OZ rims, carbon fiber, or 06+ bikes, take off more weight. Silver might be lighter, but red is the fastest; that is why they made the dash light red.
Tdogg, take off that ladder attached to the tail and save some weight and air drag:smilie

yeah they say the 01 rsvr weights in at 489 lbs wet !

Hi,

My Y2K RSVR now weighs in at 175kgs, 95kg front and 80kg rear Wet. Mind you it has been on an extreme weight loss diet.
