Was thinking - Carbon cans ;o) but now not so sure

I have been reading up on twins and carbon cans. Many twins appear to blow their cans

It seems to have put me off slightly. I have a matt black 02 RSV and thought the carbons would fit in nicely with the bike. I am fitting some falcon exhausts as I prefer the look of the twin exhausts.

Any suggestions on some cans??

you could always slide carbon sleeves over a stainless, ali or ti sleeves - that'll prevent the pulse from blowing them :thumbup

My Mivv GP Carbon is 4 years old and done 6500 miles.

It performs and looks as good as new.

Rob :)

i ran an akra carbon can , packed it really tight etc but i think a blast to lemans at between 100-140 killed it :devil

started blowing the packing out a month or so later and the carbon cooked and went all soft

blew one too at 280 km/h :) a friend of mine was about two kms away from me, he all of a sudden heard a revved up v-twin but did'nt see it! lol!

Hi m8 i have a friend of a friend of a friend well you get the point more of an aquantance who ive met twice anyhoo he makes the Carbon for mtc exhausts and he told me if you renew the packing in the exhaust once every two years you shouldn't have any probs.....short story long really
