I ordered a set of Akropovic slip-ons from
http://www.emotouk.com/aprilia.htm
I've got an 07model and they advertised 04onwards. I ordered but (too late) checked the Akrapovic site and saw they changed model for 07 onwards.
I contacted emoto to check I'd get the 07 they e-mailed back saying they could supply the 07 but it would be an extra £85 and gave me their bank details.
I'm an arse cos I paid the cost + extra into their account to order the exhausts. They then sent me the 04model exhausts, which I didn't order and if I did would have been £85cheaper.
I've been chasing them ever since to get them changed and got nowhere.
These guys are total :jack merchants.
My advice to you all would be to avoid if possible, or if you buy use a recognised credit card.

There are 2 types of Akrapovic can design for 04 onward RSVR and Factory. The standard road legal removeable baffle oval cans in either titanium or carbon or the hexagonal silencers which include catalytic convertors.

See link below from Calsport who are official an Akrapovic dealer

http://www.calsport.co.uk/APRILIA/3013-2007-RSV_1000__R__Factory/29-Exhausts/Akrapovic

As you can see there is a huge price difference between the oval and later type hexagonal cans, nearly £500 more. So where did this extra £85 come from? There is simply no way they would supply the hex cans for this. You need to get back onto these emoto people and demand your £85 is refunded

Emoto went bust about 3 months ago and restarted as Italia Moto.

They are well known for being less than straight going back some time. A friend of mine had some Ducati bits on order which he never got.
He went round their unit and no one would answer the door. Then as he was about to leave a delivery driver came and they opened the door to him so he barged in.

They fobbed him off with some story that they were restocking and he would get his parts etc. Nothing

Don't go anywhere near them or Italia Moto.

Well if they are taking money and not delivering then they are trading fraudulently, if anyone has been screwed then they ought to go to trading standards, they dont hold punches with companies like this and will investigate all complaints

Thanks for your responses.
Maybe RSVzone could set up an approval rating for suppliers/garages etc. If I'd seen dodgy reports I would have staid clear.
I will be reporting to trading standards and looking at other means too.

I went for the road legal slip-ons.
There's a choice of carbon or titanium finish (but that just wrapping I suppose).
Here's a link to their site. You'll see there's a different form to the back end.

Seems like I'm stuck with the 04 model so I'm planning to get fitted with power commander 3 and get full dyno setting. Hope will be OK, if not at least will sound good.

As i said in my post Rod, those hexagonal 07 to 09 Akrapovics are nearly £1100. They have a catalytic convertor fitted into each link pipe hence the price, so for half the price you have a set of standard Akrapovics so not all bad news eh :thumbup
