ok guys well I went out today thinking all right finally have some time to declutter the bike since it still had all these white and orange warning decals on the tank and the evap canister decal on the frame. well I took off the decals thinking that they were put on after all painting was done. boy was I wrong:confused:rant:rant

anyways now that the decals are off I have 2 nice sized matte black areas on the top of my tank. Any clue on how I could go about to fix these and make them look somewhat like the rest of the tank, which looks like it got some kind of clear put on it?

Please help.

I was thinking of trying to mask off the areas and get some satin clear, but just dont know if it will match. Oh I guess I could get some cool looking new non-warning decals and apply them.

You would have to rub down the whole tank and then re lacquer it, you cant blend it at all you'd always end up with a mark.

dont ya just hate it when you think itll look good ,but they are there for a reason ,should have left well alone :dowhat

Don't spray it !! You'll need to spend some time with some Autoglym super resin polish and keep building up layers and buff to a match the rest of the tank

I wasn't suggesting he tried to spray its a job for a pro :lol but that would be the way to fix it properly.:nana
