Hi folks long time no see, havent had chance to dig bike out more than a couple of times in the last year ffs ! Last year I managed to drop the fecker off the paddock stand with sidestand not locked the subsequent fall resulted in cracking the headlight/dash mount . I stripped it and used some super duper glue from an accident repair place ,inevitably its cracked again. Price for new mount is £360 ouch, so after second hand one or ideas on how to fix/bodge it.

You could try having it "plastic welded " like body shops do with car bumpers etc .

i once reconstructed a gsxr1100 fairing that had been smashed to several pieces, with little more than a big soldering iron and some plastic drain pipe for use as hot melt filler
it worked very well i might add. mebbe worth a try . certainly cheaper than £360 .

theres some excellent polymers around these days, no need fer expensive repairs to plastics anymore..

superglue .... no .

Cheers sounds a plan I tried some ,"hard plastic glue " which didn't do the job and then it was fixed by a mate who runs an accident repair place using a glue used for fixing mounting lugs on headlights etc . Seemed solid but has cracked in the same place.
Will look at plastic welding options. Cheers fellas.

I bought my bike from someone who had dropped it and it sounds like the same thing happened, he had tried to jb plastic weld it together but it didn't last long and you have to be very precise with it, on aprilia super store they are about 50$ US believe, unless you have a newer tuono then it's cheaper.

It was pure ******** moment from me so annoying !! Had changed the oil and put new Oberon clutch cylinder on and had lifted the sidestand during the process and just not put it back into place properly so dropped it off the paddock stand and let it drop onto the sidestand which folded landing the bike on the left side the the fall partly broken by a large flower tub !! Its had a tough time bless it,during previous MOT discovered smashed lockstop and the decorative plate that covered the ding in the frame off the gear lever when its been dropped in the past . Ah well its straight and is mental fun still. Just need to sort the bracket out . The Aprilia superstore sounds an option after trying the soldering iron method.

Its a USA based site,so watch out for shipping and import duty costs.Might be cheaper to get one from europe.Ebay Germany is always a good place to look.

Good point Im going to have a go at plastic welding it first see how that goes ,if that doesnt work out will try your option ,cheers.

That's not the part it's on one of the frame sections on the illustrations. It's the box section piece that holds the dash and headlights assy

you are talking about a gen2 tuono? the big plastic bit the clocks go on the top of and the lights go on the front?

is your bike a gen 1 or gen 2?

the part number you posted is for a gen 1 and is metal, assume as you've been trying glue and posted in this section you've got a gen 2.
