Done the 15/42 sprocket change an noo done a couple o runs oot an aboot.....an ahm fairly likin the difference tae acceleration and wheel poppin abilities when ye gie the "go handle" a sharp wheech.:flip
An its certainly smoothed oot the low revs/speed clunkiness an noo dinnae need tae be dottin up and doon between 1st n 2nd an slippin the clutch as much in toon or at junction....

.......which is awe good........BUT.......

noo ah need a 7th gear!

As the change obviously increases the rpm in relation tae speed it noo aye feels like yer need tae snick up one mair cog when yer cruisin alang which is takin a bitty gettin used tae.

So, anybody got one tae spare? A good used one wid dae:thumbup

Your a hooligan R min. How you doing getting neutral, bit of a pain for me since putting the 15 on.

neutral?......nae ony mair a pain in the erse as its always been.....jist the same really

I quite often try for 7th as I actually use 6th gear (bay you hearing this!!). I quite often have false neutrals and I quite often can't get proper neutral especially in the work car park for some reason.

All part of T Italian fun :thumbup

I sometimes look for a 7th but I'm normally in 5th. 6th is for motorway riding and I dint usually do it. Ps trick to getting 1st is to get it before you come to a stop

Ps not posted much cos last time we posted got slammed for it. Kinda puts one off a bit

Slammed? Think it was one person in particular was it not and that hasn't stopped my ramblings big fella ;)

Don't turn into another reader non poster ffs there's hundreds of those already! I'm sure you know I have a week off and am bored ;)

Feck sake muckers, the G box is as slick as anythin a ever ridden.

Get it up to temp and yer sorted, usually 500mls

Yer right there bay and S.

If yer want to rattle yer gums wae yer mucker, a suggest yer post yer own thread, and not a dudes first thread.

If yer canae get yer heid roon that, then am takiin tosh again.

bay, it wis a dig at yer and stiks, but ffs yer know am a fud and a lurve yae.

Never have a problem until there's an audience, then it turns into the old up to 2nd, just a wee bit... *******... Doon again, up again... Fuggit, switch the fecker off and glower at it.

Sounds about right, the only time I normally go in to neutral is at lights when I wanna stretch. Its always parked in gear.

Aye Neil min...done that wee ruse a few times as tae nae look like a richt fanny ootside the shop!

Usually happen when yer sittin ootside a bike shoppie wi awe the punters roon aboot, smirkin at the "newbie"

I'm the same sometimes in snicks into Neutral 1st time then sometimes I'm up and down and its a right awkward git to get. As I said what I tend to do now is kick it into neutral just as the bikes about to stop and it seems to go in nice and smoothe.

If it ever takes too long and its gonna look like I'm fannying about I just switch the engine off and leave it in 1st like Nob said.

The Rotax box is notorious for being a bit of a cow for neutral, or false neutral.

My other half's bike which is almost bog standard is a sod for slipping into neutral when you want first or second, and then refusing to find neutral when you want it.

I have found that - clutch fluid/bleeding/adjustment is important, as is chain tension - too tight and it's a cow.

On my bike it was just as ferkin difficult until I fitted rear sets, now the gearchange is as sweet as a peach. No idea why, but I think I saw Tifa saying his was better after he fitted rearsets as well.

They do get better with a few thousand miles on the clocks.
