Ok..... hi all, I've not been on for a while but I need to drink at the font of all things Tuono
I have a beoootiful 2008 Tuono R..... it's done 27k miles and has never missed a service, last year on a run to France I noticed that i had vibration and a 'rattle' in all gears at around 4500 to 5500 rpm, it disappears above or below this rev range, but is still noticeable if I held it at a constant throttle.
Anyho.... I took it to my local aprillia dealer and the mechanic took it out and diagnosed 'Cam Chain' lash and would require a set of tensioners. Now as the big service was due this wasn't a problem.
I had the service done (not by the Dealer as they are bloody expensive but by a very experienced independent guy whom I trust) and the tensioners replaced... the chains were in good order there was no free play etc.
now I've just started to ride it again and the problem is still there, no where near as bad, but as the revs rise through 4500-5500 i get this vibration through the left hand foot peg...
I've checked everything I can think off to see if anythings loose and I can find nothing...
Thoughts please.... should the chains have been done??/
