very confused

So i brought my rsv1000r factory on saturday but whenever i look for a set of exhausts there listed as follows

rsv mille 2004 - 2005

or (taken from the akrapovic site)

rsv mille 2007 - 2009


but mine is a 53 plate, do i just by the 04-05 stuff as the pre 03 exhuasts is for the older shape...

here is my ride

if someone cold enlighten me where im going wrong i would be well chuffed, as i have said before i am very new to rsv's so i;m gunna be sapping you lot for all your knowledge plausible!

Yep that is an 04 shape. so you need to be buying 04 onwards parts

thanks heroblob!

i knew it was the new shape but was confused over whether i was looking at the right parts. do you recon the exhuast for the newest models would fit as id like a set of these

but this one is the newer shape than mine... any ideas from what i would think the zorst exit at the same point!?

Nah buy the 03 stuff then when it don't fit call me and I will pop around take it off your hands

my cans where £250 inc link pipes and sound nice with removable baffles if you wanna use em as i know you do:thumbup

(willing to trade a lovely pair of titaanium race exhuasts for a set with removeable baffles!

Hi all.

Now I am really confused after seeing the pics, I have an 06 rsv-r and am now wondering if akrapovic cans off an 04 will fit or do i need to go for the 07 -09 ones listed on the akrapovic site????

What a headache.

email em ask them if you can order one 07 and one 05 thus making a set of 06 ones.... simples!

Correct me if I'm wrong(sure someone will) but don't the later Akro slipons with the carbon end pieces have 'cats' built in and are very expensive.
Why would you want to take off the standard cans with cats to replace with slip ons with cats. Is'nt the whole idea to make some proper V2 noise with a tiny bit of performance gain?
