Velocity stacks - edwards air tubes

Just me again

Has anyone just tried either "VELOCITY STACKS AND/OR THE "EDWARDS" STYLE AIR INTAKE TUBES" to any good effect.

If so, has there been some experimenting with the height of the "STACKS" FOR VARYING RESULTS"

Reason is, I am tending towards the RENEGADE airbox, thought I might look at the VELOCITY stacks/tubes while I am there??

ANYONE been here before :dunno

yes I have the Edwards airtubes, v stacks , chip and 57mm TB's in mine(std 2002) along with the evo airbox and PC111 etc---made a huge difference. The edwards stacks are designed for the size of the TB's so should be optimised.The edwards chip is a nice chip aswell.
You can even buy open chips from the likes of Ducati Kaemna.de.

I was looking at mine last weekend.
The air tubes are bigger (stuck my fingers down there - seems twice the size), going into the standard air box.

The stacks on top of the TB are larger in diamater (to suit the mouths of the TB) but are a lot shorter. I was always led to believe that longer stacks are preferable. They may be short to allow more clearance with the top of the air box.

I am unsure if this set up is better than the Renegade (I have one fitted to my RSVR) so I may try & swap.

Hi Mick, a few picamatures for you.

Edwards copy airtubes as available from italoparts.de The airtubes fit inside of the exisiting body work and provide a more direct intake into the airbox with less turbulence......or that is what I am led to believe :devious

Velocity stacks as below. The black ones are the standard stacks, which are taller and provide greater midrange, whereas the polished ally stacks are shorter which increases top end.
