My cheapo battery I fitted a few months ago is onits way out I reckon, that'll teach me to be a tight arsed northerner

Can anybody confirm for me this is the battery to get?

I believe Griff recommends a Varta, just wanna make sure it's the correct one

For a gen 1? I'm pretty sure that's the one Griff recommends and sells. It is shorter so needs a piece of wood or something underneath (about 20mm thick)

I had a different shape (taller) Varta last time it lasted about 3 years.

Just found this to confirm...http://rsvzone.com/forums/showthread.php?16014-Best-Battery/page2

That review is of a much bigger Motobatt with 260 cca not the 200 cca model.

From what I understand the key issue when starting an rsv is cca. That's why Griff recommends and sells the 230cca Varta and not the 200cca Motobatt.

Yeah this is true, I was just showing that these batteries have a hell of a life span over lots of use, it actually costs more than the varta though, and believe me 200cca is more than enough my bike has never not started even with the cold start off :)

I'm looking for a battery as we speak and the yellow motobatt say there 20 percent more powerfull and more cranking power,am I better getting the varta then???? and not the motobatt, motobatt company has asked for the dimensions of my battery that's in it so they can match it and they are £52.99.that motobatt for my bike 200 cca, what's the varta battery number for the 230 cca one your talking about?

That's the one I'm watching on eBay now,it seems to be the one people are talking about on here.was gonna see if my local shop can get one in
