Can anyone tell me why when I stop my V4 engine when it is hot and then re-start it about 5 mins later it sounds like a bag of bolts for about 2 mins? Does anyone else have the same problem?

Mine clatters on warm start-up for a brief moment too. Sounds like the nature of the beast probably. I had a 2nd Gen Yamaha VMAX with the massive 1700cc V4 and that thing was just the same. Very clattery.
