Dont know about you lot but i really dont think the new v4 is going temp me,one of the main reasons i bought the tuono was the brilliant v twin,
Are they going to stop making the twin?????(probably)
Now if they went the easy way and uped the cc's to 1200 i really would be tempted, this would be totaly wicked
i say keep the vtwin but an extra 200cc
vfour rsvr sounds the way to go for the full on sports bike though

WHATS YOUR THOUGHTS

I could see them keeping the v-twin Tuono, but I would really doubt they would increase the size to the same as the new v-4 model. I read somewhere recently that Aprilia was going to have more emphasis on "mid-size" models. What exactly that means, I don't know. Unfortunately, with the motor in out V-twin Tuono's being made by Rotax, and all the new models released recently by Aprilia using engines sourced from Aprilia, I'm afraid the V-twin model is pretty much gone. I really hope I'm wrong, but it sure looks that way.

Afaik, Aprilia had a 10 year deal with Rotax which is now finished. So no more v twin Tuonos. The press is calling the naked RSV4 the new Tuono....???

I have heard that they will be using the Shiver's 750cc engine as a base and expanding it to 1200cc for a range of models, which should include a naked version as well. My understanding is that the 1200cc versions will be in a much softer state of tune than the V4 types or the Rotax engines; so again, no V2 Tuono there.

I could be wrong however........:dunno

I love the V twim, and it will be a sad day if they stop making them.
V4 - not sure. I've riden a VFR 800 and they are okay, but not in the same league as the twin. I think Aprilia may see how sales go first before making any decisions.
