I took a seperate feed off, I think indicator fuse back of the battery . I put a seperate inline fuse in the fly lead to the socket , which I strapped behind the right hand plastic cowl above the water tank .
its out of sight and is protected to a degree from water ingress
yep I tee,d into the loom below the fuse box on the ignition controlled side and soldered the joint .its a bit bloody tight but its a nice neat job
( I hate **** n shoddy wiring )
