Hi Guys
Anyone fitted a usb charger socket on a 2016 1100 V4 RR
Are there switched connectors available on the bike OR do I have to connect direct to the battery.
Much prefer the switched route so as not to drain the battery if I forget to remove my satnav, phone, etc
Thanks in advance

I am not sure if the 2016 has the power outlet like the 2017.
If so, here is the easy solution by Garey Cooper :
I did it on my 2017 RR and it is very easy.

Hey Tuna, many thxs
That's what I was hoping for, not to much work to remove panel to see if the connector exists on my 2016, fingers crossed

Hi Guys
Finally got round to looking for the power connector (bit of time on my hands thanks to corona virus). It's there just as in Gary Cooper's video, easy to find when someone shows you what to do.
Connector is fitted with a blank plug, so you need to buy a complete connector Tyco Amp C8 2 pin (£1.49 off eBay) to get a plug for connecting your accessory.
Cheers Tuna Rumble

You´re welcome, Noddy.
There is a lot of helpful information in Garey´s channel.

Plug arrived yesterday, bit fiddly, but fitted to the USB charger cable.
Simply plugged it in and now have USB socket for my iPhone/Google maps which is only live when ignition is on, perfect.
I'm using a Quadlock phone mount on the bars with Quadlock USB charger accessory.
