US sidestand/kickstand wanted for UK bike

Hi folks

I've just got a 2000 RSVR and love the bike but the sidestand is an issue, leaves the bike way too upright. After reading various threads there are alternatives but the US version seems to be the best for what I want (has to cope with luggage, ferry tie downs etc)

Are there any Americans (or Brits) who have a US kickstand for sale?

I want one too! I dont like the original unstable stand.

available on AF1 racing .com, other Jap bikes stands fit ya know!, just not as blingy USA chrome style.
Not cheap either

I priced a brand new Blade stand which was about £55, may just go with one of those.

Not quite as simple as that. It`s not the length that is the problem but the fact that the foot is directly below the centre of the bike. I cut mine then had a mate weld it at a different angle. works ok but hits the bottom fairing when it is up. I can live with that though.

Agreed, it's the angle of the stand, I just don't have any confidence when parking on a slope or uneven ground

I cut mine and it works fine, and it doesn't touch the fairing either?
