Well, some of you know, some of you don't but i needed some work done according to this thread

I went to SC and I have to say, i've never been treated so well, ever, before. Not only did they fix my issue, they also found that my Datatools was wired up wrong (aparently a Datatools issue and not the original dealers). They also did what we call in the IT industry as "Value add" and adjusted my suspension and then CLEANED the bike! Its spotless. I might point out that the guy cleaning it was very disapointed that I needed the bike back quickly and said his cleaning was a quick job because he knew I needed it back so quickly and promised to do better next time ... i'd be interested to see how! :)

To top it all off, they diagnosed, fixed, adjusted and cleaned all of this for just over £70. I was expecting nearer 200!

To all those that recommended SC, THANKYOU! They are a class outfit. I WILL be going back.

Yep they get my vote, you will not find a better Aprilia garage for customer care, bike care and value... Once again top marks Southern Cross

You Southern Jessies are way to spoilt having a dealership like that.

Right back to chopping up the piano for fire wood!!!

Heard VERY positive feedback re: SC...unfortunately a very long ride down there...thankfully we have a local Aprilia dealer who is pretty good- Forza Italia...nice guys & genuine input re our bikes!!

Glad you got it sorted.

Southern Cross really are the b*llocks when it comes to Aprilias!

They also service all sorts of bikes, and were particularly helpful to my o/h when she was trying to arrange for me to drop the bike off, when I had been punted off.

Is there a good Shop in the North (North Yorks / Tyne / Tees) ??

I travelled from Lincoln to see em and like i said on previous thread will be going back.
They did my suspension too and it transformed the bike.
Glad your pleased stuza

70 quid? Be worth that just to get somebody to clean it for me!

lol - i know! Mine was filthy, truley filthy thanks to commuting round the m25 every day. These guys polished up a treat! I'm dreading going back to work tomorrow :biggrin

Have to agree with this. When i first got it the handling compared to my SP1 (which was 7 years old!) was a bit naff. Having had them work on the suspension, its now superb.

I am indeed pleased mate, thanks for pushing me off my lazy arse to get to them. :)

Stuza did they actually tell you the problem in the end.

Just interested to know if it was the Tb setup/loose pipe or not

:dunno

Yes they did, the Sott Oiler (also installed at the same time as the service) was rigged into one of those vac pipes and should not have been.

Blimey that's an interesting one to know.

clearly the fitting dealer wasn't aware of the auto idle setup etc then.

no - again, another reason to stick to Aprilia dealers.

Edit: Must admit, i nearly spent a few hundred more on Saturday to get a power commander and airbox - aparently it will kick out just under 160bhp at the wheel :pirate

no prob on the hijack :)

The drip part is located up the front somewhere. Can't see exactly where as its well hidden.

talking of thread hijack Stu did you get my message re Insurance.

I've been servicing my bike at SC since I bought it (done 10000+). Good service and ok prices. They used to give you a 1L silkolene oil bottle for free when you serviced your bike but not anymore. They've never cleaned my bike either!!
