I have Renthal 672 fatbars on my Tuoldo - they are 10mm lower, much more than that and the switchgear hits the tank on full lock.

They help get a bit more weight onto the front wheel, but I have learned to move forward as well as across the saddle to help. Someone on the AF1 forum made the comment about "trying to kiss the mirrors" when cornering the T's.

TBH Tuono's aren't about top speed, I get mullered down the straights at Cadwell by the litre Jap 4's, but usually catch back up on corner entry speed into Coppice, and under braking for Park etc. To me the Tuono has the perfect balance of hooligan ability, with the ease of dawdling in comfort if you want to.

672 bars .... is there only one sort? Buy and plonk on?

I posted some info on Renthal Fatbars in an earlier post

The "stock" bars dimensions are from the Renthal website, I don't know if it's still on their site. The other bars are the closest I could find to Tuono bars.

The Tuono bars have holes drilled into them for small brass index pins in the switchgear, either drill the new bars to suit or (simpler) pull out the pins with a pair of decent pliers. The 672's I have fitted on mine are "tanium" which is a sort of gunmetal grey. I chopped about 30-35mm off the ends of the bars - the Fatbar is quite a lot wider than the "stock" bar, but it's easy to cut.

They fit straight into the clamps on a Tuono and are the right diameter for the switches etc.
