Hi I currently have a set of Michelin pilot ct2 on my rsv

The rear tyre has been squared off by the previous owner

I am just wondering if to by a new rear or go for a set of scrubbed in racetecs, any thoughts ??

if the front still has 3.5mm-4mm id just get a new 2ct rear

if you want a pair its your pocket so either way

Ive got a set of scrubbed in Metzeler Racetecs for sale.

Front- Racetec K1, 120/70 ZR17 approx 4mm Tread in Centre.
Rear- Racetec K1, 190/55 ZR17 approx 4mm Tread in Centre.

PM me if anyones interested.....

Dont put race scrubs when its cold. In cold temps they go like plastic (i`m not kidding) and are very dangerous, esply as they have such steep profiles, they can be very hard to catch if they slip out. Only use them 15 degrees plus, 20degrees plus would be better.

By the way mine is wearing scrubs now, but I use it very rarely in the cold, so I accept the compromise and ride like its ice if I have to!

Awesome in summer though! :thumbup

Thanks for the tip think I will stick with the pilots

yep i'm on supercorsa sc2 scrubs and there great for the price but like steveR i dont use the mille in the cold or the wet actually but amazing when its warm

I agree about the temps... but they (interacts) are great in the wet ,as we found out all the way to Brno..AND back..arg

I have pirr super corsas but half the time i dont think i get them sticky enough and when they are worn i may well go with michelins cos got them on another bike and they feel a little more surefooted 2 me anyway.i wouldnt touch any tyres meant for the track personally.

Your welcome bud. Not got experience of the pilots, but they will be better than track scrubs this time of year!
To be fair they are alot better in the wet when its warm than the dry when its cold. All the best ;)
