Tyre wear.

Hey, am looking at a new T,
The front tyre looks like this

I haven't seen that kind of wear before, is it a bad omen?

These are metzeler racetec rr, am guessing these are pretty focussed tyres, will they be ok on the road and in the rain?

Any advice would be appreciated.

I've had similar wear on front tyres like that on a few bikes. Depends how hard you push the front, and go to the same lean angles. nowt to worry about

Looks as though it's been running on low pressure and overheated.
A new tyre will fix it.
Any decent sports touring tyre will do the job for road use.
Hard to find a bad tyre these days, but everyone has their favourite.

That's an ex track day scrubbed Tyre,it will clean up with road riding no problem

Yeh. Pressed hard on a long bend and any road tyre will do that quite quickly! Which begs the question, why isn't the rear tyre the same, or worst? Presumably it's fairly new, hence replaced since the track day!
