What you guys running tyre pressure wise on the 1100 factory. And has anybody had problems with loosing pressure. My front drops from 35 on a Sunday to low 20s by the following Saturday.

I'd soap the rim to tyre and the valve to rim and check the valve core too ! As to tyre psi , I run Dunlop sp/smarts on my v2,,,,, 31f-35r????

Just got the bike new and only done 330 miles so going to leave it till the first service then let them sort it.
Just wondered if anybody else has had issues with new standard tyres and rims. Just my bad luck.

33F 36R Michellin Roadsmarts(Ithink) but might lower pressure for better grip, these tyres are being swapped for Pirelli Rosso Corsas, Same pressure

Have you checked the valve is not loose?

Another problem is weak valve spring. If not sufficiently strong the valve can open at higher speeds and let air out. Spring needs to be stronger + worth getting sealing valve caps to stop such air leakage as a back up / safety solution!

But check tyre rim as said too... or get your garage to check it.

Standard tyre from new Diablo super corsa I thought I read in the book 33.36 front and 36.26 psi rear.
it is on the standard straight valves.

That's because original book pressures are set in Bar, not PSI. Try putting in 36.26 PSI using a standard air line / foot pump gauge! ;)

Not sure if asking you guys if any body has had tyre seating problems on the new 1100 factory is bimbling on. If so sorry.
Just a question at end of the day. I was asked tyre pressures and just gave an answer.

Aldo have you tried drilling your head and letting the silly juice out it may help. lol :thumbup

Probably to painful fir me mucker, just read yer prob wae the tyre loosin pressure and kind of got side tracked wae other ****.

Anyhoo the jist of what a wiz tryin to say aboot tyre pressures was,,,,,,,,according to the stored pressure graph on ma satnav the pressures fluctuate wildly if the info is to be believed..

Hope yer get the prob sorted.

Indeed. That's why I always wait until the barometer is showing 1,000mm of Hg before I check/adjust my car and especially bike tyres! ;)

That way I can ensure however the external air pressure fluctuates, the internal tyre pressure remains 'relatively' constant.

Then... if the barometer pressure is anything more than 10mm high or low, I never lean the bike more than 10 degrees into a bend, and ride like my granny would! Arf...:lol

Actually, I used to be pretty regular at checking tyre pressures, but these days I've taken to kicking the tyres to make sure their not soft and still blasting it. I've found they can handle a few Psi pressure drop without significant handling problem... as Aldo intimates!
- But if I was racing it be a different matter!

You'll be glad yer never read the AF1thread aboot trying tae hit a given tyre pressure.

Or maybe yer have.
