Right I am going to buy a set of tyres for my bike from Busters, and I also have my nice new (to me) OZ wheels.

What am I looking at paying for someone to fit these, or am I likely to get winged at because I didn't buy the tyres off them.

Also I am really paranoid about my spanking wheels getting butchered by a rough as arsehole tyre fitter:eek:

Normally £10.00 a wheel fitted to loose wheels , ring round most more than happy to fit to free issue tyres its still work isn't it .

I was quoted £15 + VAT per wheel but lucky for me a mate did them both for free at the weekend :)

I do my own, it isn't that hard. But 1st few times you will mark the wheel

plus some garages will charge you £2 per tyre to get rid of the old one so that puts loose tyre change up to £12 a wheel = £24 plus your own time.
usually just easier to barter with the tyre fitter/garage and get them to fit them for free after all its only 30 mins of 1 tyre tech's time

hey up mate. dunno if it helps but what size rear are you buying? I've just fitted a 190 only to find out my mate, a very very quick road rider/track racer has fitted a 180 to his Mille. He cringed when he saw I'd fitted a 190, stating the 180 is far superior and allows much quicker turn in and agility.

Now thats handy to know :biggrin

no problems doing your wets for you when you get them mate. That is if your nat bothered if I mark the rim.

But im not doing your oz's cos im bound to scratch em the anodising is way thin(have a look at mine)

I was going to get a set of those but managed to find a few more quid in the piggy bank and bought some BT016's for £169.

Had them fitted for £25 by these guys Click Me. The guys even filled them with nitrogen rather than air, apparently it offers a more stable pressure through the temperature range.

The main man said he can match the deal I got, that means he'll do a set of BT016's for just shy of £200 all in.

I was impressed as they never scratched my wheels, last time Watling Tyres mangled my rims.
