Hi everyone im new on here and purchased my tuono gen 2 back in december so not really had much ride time yet due to the uk crap weather....my tuono is shod with pirelli angel gt rubber and i have a 190/55 on the rear, im now reading on various forums that a 190 isnt a great choice and i should opt for a 180 ?? Some years back i had a gen 1 RSVR which had a 190 on and rubbed the chain so i changed it to a 180 and the bike did handle better with the 180 on...any input appreciated 

have a search on the old threads Staffs, loads of opinions on tyre size and brand but at the end of the day its all down to the individual mate

To tell the difference between a 190 and 180, you have to have exactly the same brand and tyre shape. Otherwise we are comparing apples with pears.

Having said that, I changed from a 180/55 to 190/50 late 2015 (albeit from a Pilot Power 2CT to a M7RR) and didn't notice any difference in terms of turn in speed. Both are great, grippy tyres, and with the 190 there is slightly more rubber on the ground... which can be very useful!
- But only slightly. If you compare the width of both tyres there is less than 1cm difference.

I suspect it's only on a racetrack that turn in speed is really noticeable... but glad to hear other views especially anyone who has swapped between 180 & 190 tyres of the same brand.

The above relates to a Gen1... But not sure why a Gen2 would be any different in respect of turn in speed.

I wondered about going up to a 190/55 from the 190/50 to speed the steering up might help the speedo read more accurately as well :) but wasn't sure if this was recommended?

Assuming that all else remains the same, same model, tire pressure, temp and suspension settings etc. the 55 aspect ratio will give you a noticeably quicker turn in. From experience with Dunlop Q3s Sportmax Tires.
