I picked up an Arrow GP2 for my 2013 Tuono. Anyone know an easy way to get the old seal ring (lead?) off? It looks like it has to be removed so the new one can slide on. Is there anything I should replace it with when installing the Aarow?

You will probably have to cut it off, I suspect that it's an adhesive gasket so will be no good once you do get it off.

Mine just slipped off when I changed to Austin Racing.

It's just a gasket.

If you want to you can run a smear of exhaust assembly paste around the header pipe before you slip on your new link pipe.

Well, I'm glad I didn't destroy the seal because my Aprilia dealer backed out on updating my ECU. I got an email quote on the ECU but now they claim they can only update the ECU when they also sell and install the Akra slip on. Gotta send the Aarow back. Bummed!

can they not supply and fit you the aprilia race ecu ? Then at least you can keep your arrow pipe if that's the one you want.
What they are saying is probably correct that you only get the unlock code with the akra pipe.

I run my bike with a open exhaust and never remapped or flashed the Ecu and it runs fine just fit it

As long as you dont need it you can cut it off, Should just break off with a bash.

Also, Im running a Carbon Austin Racing can, ECU hasn't been reflashed and I've had the CO levels checked on a dyno, They were all fine.
Just chuck the can on and run it :)
