Hi All,
I have just purchased a 2014 V4 Tuono, after having a 2004 ZX 10R since new. I am looking to travel to France for a week in September and have been looking at Ventura and Kriega luggage. I have had Ventura for years so I know what that is like, has anyone fitted Kriega tailpacks to their Tuono or has anyone got a pair of Ventura luggage rails for sale ? Ventura is brilliant but doesn't look great perched on back of bike, not sure about Kriega

Hi, I got the kriega system for my Tuono last year, did a run from Shetland to silverstone and back with no problems, great gear, very well made and very easy to get on/off the bike, I'd highly recommend them. :thumbup

Hi Guys, I have used both , but for ease of use , it has to be Ventura for me , I just used a 40 ltr dry bag to put my gear in when inside the Ventura bag

I have the Kriega tailpack and add ons as well , great quality and easy to clip on / off the bike :thumbup

Hi Cable Guy,
Are the brackets easy to fit?
Previously I have had to drill holes in tail units to fit brackets, which I don't like doing.

Hi Pipster , very easy to fit , I have removed the rear footrests, but you can fit the system with them on or off , probably 10 minutes , two bolts on footrest mount & two bolts through number plate holder into the tail unit .

Used Kriega US10 &US20 tailpacks regularly also a US5.However I really struggled with any fixing or mounting points under the pillion seat as its so compact under there. For me I think I would struggle swinging me leg over the pillion seat plus bags but that's coz I is a short arse. I too recently took V4 to France and mounted the us20 and us10 bags on the tank via the Kriega tank bag adapter?.will post pics but I feel another advantage of this setup is something to lean against when cruising at higher speeds and takes lots of wind pressure off your chest...

Just looking at the pix there is no way to see the clocks........or am I wrong? :dunno

You can see the clocks ok I found it a practical solution with no probs. Only negative is unclipping the two quick release fasteners then reattaching every 120 or so for fuel but unlike ventura no bolts or spanners needed. I worried about fuel range as get 90 or so at home plus 13 to nowt left. Regularly got to 120 befire light best ever 137 to light enjoy ya trip

Hi Cable Guy, that's great appreciate your advice.:thumbup
Probably going to stick with Ventura for the rear of bike and get small Kriega tank bag.
Thanks to everyone on their feedback, has really helped me with making a decision.

If anyone has unwanted Ventura brackets let me know, would be interested in buying them.

Hoping to get too Poole Quay tonight for a ride out, tea and chips .

I've had an Oxford tail pack for years that I have fitted to numerous bikes without issue, just use two rachet straps. Quick on and off (once you've fitted the straps) and very secure. Went on a 10 day Eurotrip last year on the Tuono without any problems, even though the pillion seat is small.

Thanks Heppy, have decided Kriega for tank and Ventura luggage for the rear of bike, will upload some pics once fitted :cheers

Anyone tried the Hepco & Becker / Krauser sportrack? Brilliant for mounting Kriega tail packs, you can really strap them down tight, with the added bonus of keeping the bags away from paint. If you're really brave you can even stick a topbox (did I really say that) on.

Got one for sale? Message me.

Does that not push you too far forward? I fitted a full US20 kriega to the pillion seat and that was uncomfortable.

Hi have a look at jofama luggage before you make a descision. My mate has just got it for his bike and at £70-£80 depending on size I think its a good buy, i will definately be getting one before I go to France next year.
