Sept 2014 v4r 2500 miles dry only. Gets cleaned after every ride and dried with a motorcycle dryer.
put away in September 2015 and first ride March 2016
look at the bloody state of the ABS ring and bolts. It's a bloody disgrace, what do they make them out of pure iron.
stealer says not covered under warranty.

That is a bit crap TBH if it was mine I'd remove it and get it bead blasted and then a good dose of ACF50

Buy some DISTILLED white vinegar from Tescos. Remove the ABS rings and bolts from the bike and submerge them in the vinegar for 12 to 24 hours. All the rust will have disappeared.

When the rust has been cleaned drop them into cola for a day or so to give them a nice phosphate coating

I have used traffic film remover for the last 20 yrs on all my bikes. I water it down 10 to 1 and never had a problem before.
As for the visages and cola posts. I have never heard of this before. Are you winding me up or are you serious.
I have seen the clean a penny trick in cola. So could be true.
Might risk it.

Once you've finished with the Cola, soak in tomato sauce to give them a nice pink hue! ;)

Seriously, the ethanoic acid in vinegar should clear rust, and phosphoric acid (which Cola contains) is widely used to anodised aluminium, so I presume it will work for steel too!

Buy a bottle of DISTILLED white vinegar from Tescos, then fined something rusty ie an old spanner or nut and bolt leave in the vinegar and see for your self what happens...
Vinegar will take a few of days to get rid of heavy rust...
A very quick way to get rid of heavy rust is Hydrochloric acid based products such as brick mortar remover from Travis Perkings. you won't need anything so strong for your parts though.
Phosphoric acid for rust removal is not as aggressive as Hydrochloric acid but leaves a protective coat of phosphate which helps to protect a part from re-rusting.
CocaCola contains a small amount of phosphoric acid used as a preservative so will coat bare metal parts with phosphate.
If I were you I'd spray the parts with engine enamel or zinc based paint before re-assembly.

Myself after that I would soak them in bacon fat so the more you brake the heat will make the bike smell of bacon sarnies how cool would that be :lol
