I wish they gave some indication as to how one could determine if they are impacted. 977 can't possibly account for the number of Tuonos sold in states over the past three years

Currently, the only way to determine if your specific bike is impacted (apart from the obvious manufacturing date based exclusions) is to call the number provided and give them your VIN. I've made such a call and, while I got the impression that the gentleman who returned my call was none too thrilled to be talking to me, I was told without rancor that they would get back to me with a yay or nay.

Well that was quick. Apparently, my bike *is* included in the recall but there's no point in taking it in until the recall notice arrives in my mailbox because they won't have the arrangements in place to deal with it.
