Hi Folks,

Going to be doing some touring and am looking for some recommendations on luggage that people have used on there Tuono's. Dont want to break the bank with the likes of the Ventura systems looking more at what works well strapped on the tank or over the rear seat cover? If you have experienced any and can give recommendations then it would be very much appreciated.

Cheers

I to will be interested in the replies about luggage accommodation.
The one gripe I've got on the Tuono is the fact you can't use magnetic tank bags due to the plastic tank. (Thought they would have helped us out there due to the lack of luggage facilities in the first place.

Even some rear through overs can present a problem due to the high exhaust system...:rolleyes

I have the Kriega system 20 litre tail pack plus 10 litre add on which piggybags on top of the 20L.

This system is top quality with the two securing belts wrapping under the framework in the tool compartment, popping out from the pillion seat, then laching onto the tail bag and pulling up rock solid. No flappy straps or movement whatsoever. .....:thumbup

You can find this system plus tank options and rucksacks all on ebay. You wont buy better.........off for my first tour to Reims & Salzbourg next Thursday! bring it on!! :cheers

Cheers for the responses.

So the Kriega system fits the Tuono with no problem, whats the chance of a pic of it fitted?? Does this mounting strap just go under the mudgaurd?

Thanks
Mark

I've used the Aprilia tank bag on both Tuonos and have been well pleased. Camping this weekend and using that and Aprilia's own rucksack. Plenty of carrying capacity.

I just bought the Marsee 50l bag for long trips and am so pleased with it that I am going to buy the new 20l for day to day use and short over nighters. You have to be a little creative with strapping the 50l, but I would imagine the 20 will be a piece of cake. My last Marsee lasted my 15 years so I expect good life out of these as well.

I just bought a pair of Nelson Rigg mini saddle bags from newenough.com. Haven't taken them for a ride yet, but they clear the high mount exhaust as promised.

Also bought an Abrams tank bag by Rapid Transit for $17, nice deal. :cheers

Check out what this guy did to his Tuono for long distance riding. He's selling parts.

I already bought his givi plate substitute for a back seat and will let you know how it works...I currently use a silver Givi V46 topcase on my FZ1 and you can switch the lid on the case...not sure what color will go with the tuono...

I also have some canvas sport saddle bags that are not weather proof and dont lock like the givi, but hopefully they'll fit as well.

It is a racing M/c

It's BASED on a racing bike - if I was only going to race it, I'd buy a Mille or a track bike.

And some people aren't fortunate enough to have multiple bikes like a Tuono , a Suzuki DR 750 and a Yamaha XJ 550. You know?

If it's your only bike, you make do.
