Hi all, I recently bought a 09 1000 R and the dealer sold me an extended warranty from RPM ONE. Does anyone have any review on it? Also I dont see any issues on these bikes on this forum, is extended warranty required? The bike has 1year factory warranty left and rpm one picks up from there for 4 years and the cost is $848.

My bike came with the 4th yr warranty from Aprilia, it was paid for by the previous owner.
The T has a few quirks to it, but a warranty is up to the individual I wouldn't say yes or no to you mate

I bought my bike s/hand, 3 months old with the Aprilia extended warranty....it was worse than useless.
Once it was out of it's 2 year standard warranty, Piaggio conveniently 'lost' the extended g'tee paperwork and records....and would honour sod all repairs wise.
Either way, they've done themselves out of a sale. I'd have bought a new V4 Tuono in a hearbeat, but they ****** up so badly they'll not get another penny out of me if I can avoid it.
Tuono...great bike....but manufactured by a **** company.
Sadly, my next big spend will be going anywhere but in Piaggio's direction.
