The only change I've made is backing off the spring a tad, as I'm only around 75kg. Since doing this I've had no launching off the seat on rough roads, as I was once looking at the front tyre tread on a ZXR750 while a negotiating a railway crossing at 140kmh.

Hi cmotandy, have you had time to set up your suspension? I have the same model and my findings are that it is very compliant and absorbs the bad roads whilst still retaining a firmness for quick responsive handling. I have had mine set up professionally though. Just a thought.

Hi achilles, your bike is likely to be switched to map2 at the first service. There is normally no charge as it is part of the service routine. I don't think the BHP changes from the 139 that certainly all UK bikes are from about 2007, I do not know about European models. I hope this helps a tad oh, I nearly forgot fuel consumption stays thirsty!!!

Cheers mate, that was helpful. I confirmed its a 139PS bike, The "RR1" in the VIN designates the late 139ps motor, while "RR0" is 133ps.

The beast is thirsty allright but its well worth it!:thumbup

My questions overflow goes on: oval vs hexagonal Akrapovic?

hi Streetbike,
the only thing i did was back the compression damping off 1 notch. didnt feel like it was squatting down quickly enough when leaving a corner. thats better now and the front end is awesome as it is. i have found that the suspension comes into its own when riding enthusiastically. like i said, i will put up with the firm settings just for the piece of mind when cornering at speed.
everything in life is a compromise and the whole bike is loads more comfortable than any sports bike i have ever sat my overweight behind on.

I reckon its a matter of personal preference, I have the oval acras but I notice the very latest acras are identical to the OE exhausts with cone ends.

I think the hexagonals are more "racing", which means more noise and more emissions.

As for aesthetics, the 6gonals are smaller and make the bike look more sleek. Maybe the ovals suit better that beasty character of the T.

Hi achilles, I have PM'd you with regard to your recent questions. All the best.
