Well, I got the T last year used with about 3k or so and the shift from 1st to 2nd has always been a bit sticky

I tried adjusting the shifter thingy but that didn't make a spit of a difference

its an 09 - so.... anyone have similar experiences, or dare I hope - a solution? :crazy

btw, I still have a month or so of factory warranty left on it, but the dealer is two hours away, and I really dont want to haul it up there if its an easy fix

Your dealer will say,"They are all like that sir!"
Yep,gearbox is a bit notchy,...but you just get used to it.Assuming there are no other problems with the bike,...clutch drag,or something,....I'd say there is nowt wrong with it.

Its just an annoyance, but still. must be the oh see dee

I recall I spoke with some random Aprilia guy shortly after purchase when transferring the warranty - still remember the Q when I explained this to him (the tone was key here): "Is this your first Aprilia, sir?"

Translation- "all our bikes have 'character', suck it up and dont be a little bitch"

Did the clutch fluid - nothing (well, except the sparkly new clutch fluid :)

It does get a bit better when the engine is warmer though

Is this problem the false neutral because I have this problem shifting between 1st ans 2nd even though I give the shift lever a solid upward lift.

I've never had prob going through the gears until ma machine had done 2.5-3k miles, but it manifest it's self changin 5-6th.

Resolved by holdin the lever up wae ma boot.

I'm assumin yer use the clutch for every change.

Yer got to be positive wae yer change + 10-40 semi does make a wee difference in findin neutral.

I must admit this is the first time I've heard of 1-2nd being a problem.

Not a false neutral. It always shifts fine, but feels sticky like it needs a little extra boot

5th -> 6th is sometimes (very rarely) a false neutral but never fails to bring out the sailor in me

I usually get the semi Rotella T5 for the T - a bit different than my other bikes (mobil full syn), but I read someplace that full syn was not recommended for it.
