Anybody else find this odd? Apparently Aprilia have stopped issuing books and the history is kept with the dealer. Not sure how that will work when they end up on the second hand market.

Most things going that way to stop fake service stamps my merc is the same I was dubious when the dealer told me no service book but did provide me with a printout of the s/h

Probably to stop you using a non franchise dealer more like,I still do it myself :colgate:colgate

Every service I get the invoice and a pepper from the service software of Aprilia that the dealer has. Those are the receipts for your services. No need for booklet I do like this system.

The Aprilia dealer can print out what they call " Scheduled Maintenance Coupon " when they service the bike they put the bike details in to Aprilia

it has the chassis no , model , date sold , coupon no , miles km , date of service , dealer service centre stamp and invoice no

at the bottom in bold type This document must be kept by the customer, together with the legally valid receipt or invoice

so any aprilia dealer can look up the coupons if you take the bike in for any work .

Most things dont have service books nowadays inc my bmw. All you do is keep your invoices from services and the dealer logs service into Aprilias main database. Simple.
