Troubleshooting caused by rain?

Hey Chaps

A few days ago we encountered af massive rainstorm supplying 11cm of rain.
My '03 stood outside during the entire storm. Now just saturday evening i took her out for a ride (after the rainstorm).

It's runs almost normally in idle, but can for a few seconds have trouble keeping alive, and then back to normal again. When riding it feels mostly normal, but again it fails for a short periode in power deliverance. Now i found out one of the sparkplug cables head have become a little loose. But before the rainfall it drove perfectly. To me it doesn't seem logical that a rain fall can cause the cable plug head to loosen?

the exhaust sometimes gives "spouts" when letting the throttle off, like theres some unburned fuel left...

Anyone encountering the same problem after heavy rain?

It has got really wet and is hanging in there till it dries off . It may have got on some electric couplings and is oxidizing causing bad connections. Check all exposed wires , connections and clean .A real pain but at least you get to know your way around the bike. You need to get a cover just to throw over in bad weather when out
