Trouble selecting neutral and first when engine hot.

Hey folks. Last few rides I've had on the T have noticed when I pull up to lights or junctions I can't select neutral or even snick down to first and stop with the clutch engaged to pull away. Only seems to happen when the bikes hot. I've noticed the clutch lever almost comes back to the bar before I feel any pressure in it. I'm not sure if it needs adjusting or maybe even fluid or something more serious? Any thoughts?
My last few bikes have either had cable clutches or no clutch probs at all so not sure of what to check......fluid level seems fine. Cheers

Any signs of fluid around the slave cylinder? If not,it could just be the clutch lever pin wants adjusting and turning in a little.

Cheers mate. Wheres the slave cylinder and this pin I adjust lol.
You are kidding right?
The slave is bolted to the engine on the l/h side just in front of the front sprocket.
(Gold item in this pic.Its a Gen1,but its in the same place)Check its not wet with clutch fluid,...or any drips underneath.

The pin is part of the clutch lever.Be aware there is a tiny locking grubscrew to undo before trying to shift it.(1mm allen key iirc.)Screw the pin in one or two turns at a time, then check there is still a slight amount of free play at the lever.

Bleed clutch and new fluid made myne load better.

You are kidding right?

Um…. nope, why?
So, checked the slave and no, no leaks. Not looked or adjusted the pin yet cos its pissing down out and no room in the shed for tinkering right now….off tomorrow so will have a look.
Thanks folks :)

Best thing to do is ................

Remove top off master cylinder and slacken the clutch bleed nipple and let the fluid drain out 7while at the same time refilling the master with new fluid.

When clean fluid is coming out then nip up the nipple and replace the top .

Work the clutch lever a few times and all should be OK

I had a similar problem with mine last year, needed bleeding.
It started again last time I was out so needs bleeding again. And no sign of any leaks anywhere. Bloody mystery

So there ya go,....the massive has spoken.
Check slave cylinder for leaks,....not leaking?Bleed fluid,....still not right? Adjust pin.
